product-bollardposts Bollards installed to prevent hospital staff from parking on grass verges A local council has installed bollards on a road close to a hospital to prevent staff from parking on resident’s grass verges, a recent news report in the local media has been able to reveal.

The residents in Algar Road, Trent Vale, say that staff and students at the Royal Stoke University Hospital are using their street as a car park.

Councillor Jack Brereton said the authority would continue to monitor the issue after the bollards are installed.

The cabinet member for regeneration, transport and heritage, said: "The city council has received a number of complaints from residents over a period of time about people parking on grass verges in Algar Road.

"We are now in the process of arranging for bollards to be installed which will prevent cars from parking on the grass and causing any more damage to the verges."
