Car Park Barriers & Turnstiles – suppliers of solid and reliable parking posts

Parking posts are among the easiest to operate access restriction devices that can help prevent the potential dangerous phenomenon of parking rage.

More than 3 million Britons admit to spying on their neighbours to ensure they do not park in the space outside their home, research by Privilege car insurance has found. Some householders put out cones or wheelie bins to protect ‘their’ parking spaces, while many admit to leaving notes on windscreens or even arguing directly with drivers.

Six out of ten believe it is a right that they should be able to park outside their own home. A similar proportion admit to ‘curtain twitching’ when they feel their space might be taken.
Dubbing these people ‘NIMPS’ – for ‘not in my parking space’ – the report shows that the thing which most irritates people is witnessing someone blocking in their car (64%), followed by someone taking up two spaces instead of one (63%).

“Men aged 21 are the biggest parking puritans,” notes the report, “with their age group estimating that other people’s parking antics cause them to see red on a mind-boggling 139 days a year.”

Men, in general, are more likely to get wound up by poor parking, losing their cool about 88 times a year, compared to about once a week for women.

Very popular in the reservation of car parking spaces, parking posts are widely used where access to small areas is required to be restricted.

Characterized by a strong contoured design, all supplied parking posts are key operated from the top.

Bolted securely into the ground, only you – the authorized user – can unlock parking posts using the key provided, allowing them to be lowered in order to remove or park your vehicle. Parking attendants, home owners, retail staff and security guards may use this product as a barrier to stop unauthorised vehicles entering private property or car parks.

Constructed from either cast iron or aluminium, parking posts combine peace of mind with excellent value for money, and work equally well whether in a home or corporate environment. They are designed to prohibit access to unwanted and unauthorized vehicles and can also be used as a barrier to protect pedestrian traffic in a pedestrianized area.
