Braintree District Council (BDC) plans to spend £255k over the next three years on improving the state of the district car parks across Braintree, a recent news report in the local media has been able to reveal.
The first to be improved will be two of Witham’s car parks, which will see £100,000 of investment between them.
Robert Mitchell, deputy councillor for parking at BDC, said: “Following the parking review last year, we looked at not only bringing more fairness into the tariff system, but also where improvements would be beneficial to customers.
“We have committed £255,000 towards a range of works, from resurfacing and relining to improved signage, to make the sites more accessible.”
