Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Council have put forward plans to erect a second building and upgrade facilities once the East West Rail Consortium finishes its plans to re-connect Bedford with Oxford. However, it’s still not yet known whether the planned redevelopment will incorporate these plans.

Pete Marland, leader of Milton Keynes Council, praised the funding when it was announced back in July, saying: "Bletchley is a key station for East West rail but is in much need of attention, so this funding will ensure we can create a high quality station gateway, the main arrival point for people travelling into Bletchley by train."
