Network Rail spokesman Amber Brittain said: “Yesterday evening at 5.56pm Brayford level crossing experienced a barrier failure due to a defective fuse. Network Rail engineers attended the crossing and fixed the problem, returning the barrier in working order at 6.46 pm.”
