Work has started on revamping Brighton’s main rail station, the deadline for the £5m plus project being set for the end of 2013, a news report in the local media reveals.
The improved station will include an enlarged, re-designed concourse, featuring twice as many automatic ticket gates, a new travel centre and ticket office, a new passenger lounge and café and a wider selection of retail units. A new cycle hub will also be added to the improved railway station, its completion being set for March 2014.
VisitBrighton’s Convention Bureau Manager, Julia Gallagher, said that “Conference business is an important part of our local economy and the value of this has been reflected in the large amount of investment made in our city venues recently. Improvements to one of the city’s busiest transport hubs are timely and will make a massive difference to the delegate perception of their journey into Brighton”.
Car Park Barriers & Turnstiles has a variety of access-restriction products available in store, but probably the best suited for a situation such as the one described above are the Half Height Turnstiles.
Ideal for controlling access to a wide variety of environments, the Car Park Barriers & Turnstiles Half Height Turnstiles are a customer-friendly alternative to full height turnstiles, and provide an unobtrusive method of controlling flow to certain areas of your premises.
The system offers a very good level of speed and reliability, ensuring that even during a rush hour period, your half height turnstile does not compromise the safety and security of those passing through it.
Styled in a tripod design, both single and double half height turnstiles are available, effectively doubling the throughput while keeping the amount of space used by the turnstile to a minimum.
Our turnstiles are very well fit for interior and exterior installations, since they’re manufactured from 304 or 316 grade stainless steel and require no routine maintenance. Plus, for peace of mind, all of our half height turnstiles are supplied complete with a 2 year warranty.
