A former England footballer had his car stolen while he was waiting for its windows to defrost. Paul Scholes had left his Chevrolet Captiva LTZ estate on his driveway with the engine running. The Manchester United ace went back inside his warm home for a quarter of an hour but when he went back outside his vehicle had vanished. Scholes got the £30,000 car as part of the club’s sponsorship deal with General Motors.
