Nine environmental campaigners climbed one chimney and six climbed another with the intention of occupying a power station for a week. The group No Dash For Gas are objecting to 20 new power stations that the government wants to build, and the protesters have targeted the newest site in West Burton, Notts. Ben Healey, a spokesman for the group, said of the occupiers: “They have supplies for a week and they think they can keep the power station shut.”
