Police will set up shop in a car park as part of a bid to save £13.5 million. Officers will be situated in an information van which will visit a supermarket parking area instead of being based in a police station. Welshpool Police have just announced the move which it said would not affect policing in the area and officers would continue to be based there. New public information points will also be provided at various locations.
