Last-minute additions to the Olympic security set-up, hundreds of soldiers have been billeted in underground car parks and other outdoor locations. Members of the 1st Battalion, Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment guarding London 2012 are sleeping in these makeshift spots while foreign guests are treated to luxury hotels, a Buckingham Palace reception, complimentary cars and a private Olympic transport lane. Troops have been pictured on military camp beds on the bottom floor of a multi-storey car park.
Carpark Barriers & Turnstiles have the very best car park security equipment and networks available. Popular in the reservation of car parking spaces, parking posts are widely used where access to small areas is required to be restricted. Bolted securely into the ground, only you – the authorised user – can unlock the post using the key provided, allowing it to be lowered in order to remove or park your vehicle. They are constructed from either cast iron or aluminium and may be locked in a flat position.
