A farmer is urging officials to think again about taking down a fence that was put up to combat disease. Edwin Harris, who lost about 1,000 sheep when foot and mouth disease struck ten years ago, said everything on the Brecon Beacons had changed since then. Retaining the fence would help farmers manage the grazing, and he added: "It still serves its purpose as a disease control, and we think that’s one reason why it should stay."
