Locals are in uproar over the possibility of losing the public toilets in Epping town centre in favour of a restaurant. One person doubting plans to keep toilets open is June O’Brien, a member of the Epping Society. She said: “It all seems quite strange and it does make me very suspicious.” She added: “If I was a restaurant owner I would not want customers traipsing through and not buying anything. I doubt they would be kept open.”
