Both sets of official statistics are saying crime in England and Wales is continuing to fall. Crimes recorded by the police went down by 8% to 4.3m incidents over the year to June 2010, with large falls in car crime, criminal damage and burglary. The other set of measures used by the government, the British Crime Survey, reported a fall of 4%. This latter organisation attempts to identify crimes which may not have been reported to the police – so the BCS saying crime is down is good news for the government.
Keep car crime to a minimum at your site’s parking facilities by restricting unauthorised access with Carpark Barriers & Turnstiles’ range of barriers. Our automatic bollards limit vehicle access to a specific location, and can easily be lowered when passage is authorised, typically within 2-3 seconds. Constructed out of concrete, stainless steel, aluminium or cast iron, all of the automatic bollards are constructed to completely stop the majority of vehicles. Automatic bollards are failsafe in both retracted and extended positions.
